Noah Daniel {2 Months}

These monthly posts are coming fast! Noah has changed so much since I last posted.
*He is smiling and laughing a lot. He recognizes faces & gets excited when he sees Mommy, Daddy, or his sissy.
*He weighs a whopping 12 lbs 7 oz & is 23 inches long. (Zoey was this big at 4 months!)
*He's wearing a size 2 diaper, 3-6 month clothes & 6 month sleepers!
*He still wakes up once in the night usually around 4:00 or 5:00.
*During the day he nurses every 2 hours like clock work!

I think we have finally adjusted to having two kids. It's a lot of work but we love it! Zoey still has little moments of jealousy but we try to involve her & let her help out as much as possible. We also like to do things just with her. We are planning a couple movie dates in the next couple weeks so she can get some alone time with Mommy & Daddy.

Noah Daniel {1 Month Old}

I can't believe you are already a month old! Time is going by so fast but at the same time I don't remember what it was like before you. Here are some things that you are up to:

*You weigh 9 lbs 2 oz and 20 3/4 inches long
*You wear a size 1 diaper.
*most of your clothes are 0-3 month & 3 months. Packing up your newborn clothes is kind of sad!
*You are a good eater! During the day you nurse every 2 hours. At night, you wake up around 3:00ish to eat. Sometimes you wake up twice to eat.
*You don't really have a set sleep/nap schedule but you do sleep at night so that I'm thankful for!
*You're starting to coo & smile :-)

Zoey is in love with her baby brother. Every morning when she wakes up she asks for her chocolate milk & then she asks to hold Noah. I think she is ready for him to be a little older so she has someone to play with (and boss around.)
It has been pretty hectic around our house since Noah was born. We close on our first house tomorrow! Our house is all in boxes & stuff is everywhere. Our rent house is pretty small so having stuff everywhere has been stressful. Hopefully I will have some pictures of the new house to post soon!

39 Weeks and Potty Training

How far along: 39 weeks
Weight gain/loss: +35 pounds (yikes!)
Maternity Clothes: only thing I can wear plus some of Josh's shirts
Gender: boy!
Movement: All the time! Little man is running out of room so he moves a lot to get comfortable!
Sleep: I am tired all the time. I get up a lot in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I take a nap with Zoey everyday too.
What I miss: cute clothes that fit & being able to do stuff without losing my breath
Cravings: cereal, PB & J sandwiches, &water
Best Moment this week: Taking my last belly pic! If he hasn't come on his own by Tuesday we are being induced!

We started potty training Zoey a couple weeks ago and she is already a pro! She tells us when she has to go. She doesn't want to get her underwear or pull up dirty at all. She wakes up from nap time dry as well. She has already filled several sticker charts so we might have to already start weaning her off that!

34 Weeks

How far along: 34 weeks
Weight Gain/Loss: +30 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Only thing I can wear right now. When I'm just hanging out at home I wear Josh's shirts too
Gender: Boy!
Movement: All the time! It feels like he doesn't have any room
Sleep: It's getting harder to get comfortable at night to fall asleep. Luckily Zoey still naps so I take a nap when she does.
What I miss: Cute clothes that fit. Being able to do stuff without losing my breath.
Cravings: Cereal, pb & j sandwiches, and water!
Best moment this week: Having my mom here for the week helping with Zoey so I could rest a little.

We had our doctor's appointment this week. I have already gained as much weight as I did the entire pregnancy with Zoey. She measured my stomach and I am measuring 2 weeks ahead. My doctor thinks it is fine but she scheduled an ultrasound for my next appointment so she can see how big he is and if I have extra fluid.
Since my last post, Zoey has started Mother's Day Out. She loves it and I actually did ok while she was gone. It helped that my mom was here to keep me busy though. She is learning so much so quickly. She can count to 15 and she knows all her letters. It does help that when I pick her up she runs to me and gives me a big hug :-)

31 Weeks

How Far Along: 31 Weeks
Weight Gain/Loss: +25 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Only thing I can wear. That and Josh's shirts
Gender: Baby boy!!
Movement: All the time. He loves to flip and kick
Sleep: I sleep pretty well  at night but I take a nap pretty much everyday when Zoey takes hers.
What I miss: Clothes that fit comfortably and not getting out of breath just walking to the bathroom.
Cravings: I have to have a bowl of cereal or pb & j sandwich every night before bed
Best Moment this week: Zoey calls her baby brother by name. She is so ready for him to be here

I have been really bad about keeping up with this blog this time around. I am even using my 30 weeks picture because I'm too tired (lazy) to get up and take another one. Being pregnant with a toddler is exhausting. We are also in the middle of finding & buying our first home. We probably didn't pick the best time but we need more room for our growing family.
We are looking into starting Zoey in a Mother's Day Out program in a couple weeks. We've been going to church with some friends for awhile now and when we drop her off at the nursery she loves it. When we pick her up she doesn't want to leave. I'm not ready for Mother's Day Out but I think Zoey is. She loves playing with other kids her own age. She is growing up way too fast for me!!

What I miss:Clothes that fit comfortably
Cravings:I have to have a bowl of cereal every night
Best Moment this week: I haven't gotten sick in 2 weeks so I am starting to gain weight!

We are excited that we get to find out the sex this month. We will find out before Thanksgiving & we will have our own little gender reveal for our family members then we will tell everybody else. I think we are having a boy & Josh keeps saying a girl so we will see! We will be happy either way we just want to know! We are definitely more laid back this time around. We don't have any set names yet. We probably won't for awhile. Josh & I never agree on names so it will be interesting!
This month is also Zoey's 2nd birthday! I can't believe she is that old. She is obsessed with swimming so we are having an indoor pool party for her this year. We went and checked out the pool and she wanted to jump in so I think she will like it!

18 Months Old

I can't believe my little girl is 18 months old! She changes so much week to week still and I am loving the toddler she is becoming. Here's some of her stats:
  • She is 21.6 pounds and about 31 1/2 inches tall.
  • She's in 12-18 month size clothes
  • She LOVES to talk. She says so many words. Some of her new ones are shake, waffle, cookie, booty, sissy (either referring to Aunt Meggie or my parent's dog, i don't know which) and shoes.
  • She can point out her nose, hair, eyes, ears, mouth, chin, elbow, wrist, fingers, knee, toes, belly button, and booty if you ask her. She can even point them out on Mommy & Daddy too!
  • Her hair is just getting curlier. I just love all her ringlets :-)
She's doing awesome in her toddler bed. She probably could have stayed in her crib longer but I am a shorty and she was getting too heavy on my back to lift her up and over the crib. It only took a her a couple days to adjust to it though.
Another big accomplishment- the binky is GONE!! Completely!! Up until a month ago she just had it for naps and at night but our pediatrician told us we needed to just go ahead and get rid of it. Now she just has to have her favorite blankie but I am ok with that!

I swear I take these on the day I'm supposed to but I've been sick the past couple days & I have a toddler so I haven't gotten around to posting them.

Day 8: Window- Zoey & Rocky wait for Josh to get home from work in the afternoon. It's like they know when he's coming :-)

Day 9: Red- My In-laws got me this watch for Christmas. I love OU and they are avid OSU fans so it meant a lot to me :-)

March Photo Challenge Day 4 & 5

Day 4: Bedside. I'm not a fan of Stillwater but I love going to Eskimo Joes. We have a lot of their cups. I also have my latest book (Mockingjay), baby monitor, and pictures of the people I love. Also, my brother made me that awesome canvas of Audrey Hepburn :-)

Day 5: Smile :-)

March Photo Challenge Day 1-3

Ok so here is Day 1-3:

Day 1: Up

Day 2: Fruit. I am more of a veggie person so this is how I get my fruit.
Day 3: Neighborhood. This is our neighborhood park.

15 Months

Now that Zoey is a year old I won't be doing the monthly updates. I am going to try to stick with every 3 months then when she hits 2 I will probably just do once a year. Mostly because I get busy and forget! I am already a couple weeks late on her 15 month stats. So here's what she's up to:
  • She's 21 pounds and around 30 inches tall
  • She's mostly in size 12 month clothing
  • She is walking all over the place and I love it!
  • She still talks all the time and likes to meow whenever she sees the cat.
  • She loves bath time. I think we will have to get a pool this summer because once she sees a tub she starts trying to take her clothes off and tries to climb in.
  • She has 14 teeth and counting! She thinks it's funny to bite Mommy & Daddy and it hurts! If you say ouch she just cracks up and tries to do it again.

We just got back home after being away for 5 weeks. Zoey & I had fun with Grandma and G Pop but we are happy to be in our own house with Josh. Zoey loves all her grandparents but she started following her G Pop around the house and would get mad at him if he didn't pick her up. Zoey will miss all the special Grandparent time but we will be back in OK soon enough. We are expecting our niece to be here any day and my best friend will be having her baby boy soon too!

Josh and I just booked our first baby free vacation. I am excited but I don't know how I am going to do away from Zoey. I have never been away from her overnight so it will be interesting! I know she will be in good hands though :-)

A couple blogs I read did the monthly photo challenge. I have decided to do March but we will see how long that lasts! I have the pictures but the camera is in the car so I will try to post the first 5 days tonight.

Walking Girl!

It seems Zoey has finally decided she is ready to walk. Everyday she progresses a little bit towards doing it all the time and without help. Right now, we just set her up and she takes off! She walks on her knees mostly right now but I bet she's full blown walking soon!! I am so happy she finally wanted to. At Zoey's last doctor appt she told us that if Zoe wasn't walking by 15 months she would have to see a specialist. Leave it to Zoey to wait until the last minute because she will be 15 monhs a week from Friday!
Here are some pics we had fun taking! We took them for Josh's Valentine's Day present from Zoey & me. He hasn't seen them all so these are only the ones he has seen! I will post the rest later :-)

One Year Old!

So I am a little late on the birthday post but if you're a mom you will understand! We have been super busy the past few weeks. Her birthday & Thanksgiving have come and gone and soon Christmas will be here!
Zoeybug you are a year old!! This year has just flown by. You are still the happiest little girl I know & I love you more and more everyday. Here are a few things you are up to:
  • You are talking even more. You now say touchdown & throw up your arms. You also learned to say peek-a-boo!
  • You want to play patty cake every time we change your diaper.
  • You point at everything and say "what's that??"
  • You're not walking but today you were standing on your own a lot.
  • You don't like to be fed by anyone but yourself.
  • You are off formula & drink regular milk out of sippy cups. You are also off baby food completely. We usually give you whatever we are having.

We had a small birthday party for Zoey in Oklahoma. It was mainly family and a few close friends. I didn't want to overwhelm her with a bunch of people. She had a lot of fun playing in her ball pit with her friends though.

I am excited for Christmas this year. Last year Zoey was only a month old so this year she will actually be unwrapping her gifts. She is definitely my daughter. She loves the lights and the decorations. She points and says "What's that??" or "Aww!" We already have her big Santa gift and her stocking stuffed. We didn't get too carried away since she just had a birthday and to be honest, Christmas is more than just presents. For the most part, it will be nice to be with all of our family again too.

Only one more month til Zoey is ONE!

Holy cow, where did the time go? Zoebug you are starting to look like a toddler more & more everyday. I can't believe next month we will be having your first birthday party. Here are some of the things you are up doing now:

  • You now have 7 teeth and possibly an 8th about to break through.
  • You can stand on your own for little bits at a time and also take a few steps before you get excited and fall over
  • You are a talker! You point and say "was tha" (what's that?) ALL the time.
  • You are drinking out of sippy cups like a pro.
  • You are Mickey's biggest fan(or Cici according to you). We watch an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse every morning so you can dance to the Hot Dog song.
  • You LOVE when daddy plays his guitar. You dance & sometimes sing along.

This time last year Josh & I were impatiently waiting for her to get here. I was huge & uncomfortable. It's crazy how much changes in a year.

More Zoey Updates

Zoey had her 9 month check up on Friday. Yes, I know, she is 10 months old but we were not here and it took us a couple weeks to get her into the doctor. She had a great check up. She hasn't gained any weight this month but she grew almost 2 inches! She jumped from the 50th percentile to the 75th to 90th! Her big head is still in the 75th to 90th percentile and her weight is in the 25th. She is probably going to be tall like her Daddy :-)
Now that that's out of the way here are some Zoey pictures:Zoey, mom & I took Jeff out for lunch on his birthday last week.
She loves to point at everything now
Buddies :-) They are waiting for Josh to get home from work.
I love this little girl! I can't believe we will soon be celebrating her first birthday.

10 months old!!!

I can't believe you are 10 months old already, Zoey! This year has gone by way too fast for me. You are still changing each month. Every new thing you do becomes my favorite thing. Here are some of the things that you are up to:
  • Still crawling like a pro. You have stood a couple times on your own but only for a few seconds.
  • You talk a lot! You say a bunch of things: ma ma, da da, uh oh, Eeyi!(Eli), hi, bye, cat, & dog.
  • You love giving kisses. We just have to say "Give me a kiss" and you pucker up. This really is my favorite thing.
  • You have 4 teeth and 2 about to break through.
I can't believe Zoey's birthday is 2 months away. I have an idea how I want to do her party but I need to start planning soon. We have decided to just have a family party this year since it'll probably be our only year to do so. Hopefully that will make it a little easier on me too :-)

9 Months Old

I can't believe you are already 9 months old, Zoebug! Pretty soon you will be a year old. I don't know if I'm ready for that! I have already started planning the party because it will be here before I know it.
You are doing so much & still changing everyday. Here are a few of those things:
  • You are crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. Keeping up with you is like a workout itself.
  • You give kisses if someone leans in to kiss you and sometimes you just want a kiss :-) I love your slobbery baby kisses :)
  • You are in LOVE with Jack & Rocky. You like to follow him everywhere. If one just walks by you start giggling. Rocky likes you too because you give him some of your food sometimes.
  • Your new words are daw for dog and ca for cat. Daddy also taught you to say hi & wave. You still say ma ma, bye bye, and your favorite- da da :-)
After 5 1/2 months, Josh will be home from Yuma for good. He was supposed to be there until September 2nd but they will be finished a week earlier. I am so excited to be back together as a family. Zoey definitely misses her Daddy, she talks about him all the time :-)
