Christmas, A New Year, and Anniversary!

It's been a long time since I've updated but we have been super busy. Josh has mandatory over time right now so he has to work 60 hour weeks & my school semester has started. I thought I would catch everyone up on what has happened since my last post. We went back home to Oklahoma for Christmas. We had fun, especially since there was snow!

Rocky loved the snow! He stayed outside all day & chased Biscuit & the squirrels!

The whole family watched UP after we all opened presents :-)

Josh was sick the first part of the trip so he didn't get to enjoy all of the good food we had.

We were home in Texas for New Years. We were so tired from traveling we just stayed in and watch the New York NYE on TV.
On January 3rd, Josh & I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary! We didn't do anything special. We decided to wait & take a vacation this summer once Josh's mandatory over time is over & celebrate then. We did, however, eat our cake from our wedding & we bought a Wii!

My whole family is coming to visit next week & I am getting my hair done finally so I will have some more photos to post next weekend hopefully :-)

Merry Christmas!!

Josh & I took our picture for our first Christmas card. I know it's cheesy but Christmas is my favorite holiday! I came home from work last week & Josh had bought our tree. It was a nice surprise. It's actually been cold in Texas this past week so we got to break in our fireplace too.
Here is our family photo for our card!We also got to go to Six Flags this weekend. I have never been and it was Josh's company picnic so we got tickets for $15 (which included parking!) It was cold but we had a fun time.
I am tall enough to ride!

Waiting in the cold to ride the rides Riding the train around the park.

Thanksgiving

Josh and I had our first Thanksgiving together since getting married. We got to be with both families so it was a lot of fun. After Thanksgiving dinner, we went with Josh's mom & sister and saw A Christmas Carol in 3D. It was a lot of fun and a cute movie. We also went with my brothers, sister in law, nephew, and mom to the Christmas Tree Farm. Eli had a ton of fun & was more interested in the "train" hay ride than the trees.

"Austin Angels"
We had a good trip home and are looking forward to Christmas. We put up our tree & once I finish decorating I will post pics of our house :-)

First Halloween

This was our first Halloween as a married couple. It might sound silly but we were excited to have pass out candy for the first time in our house. We bought decorations, I made Rocky a super dog cape, and we bought a ton of candy. After all that, there were only 3 groups that came to our door. I guess nobody really goes trick or treating anymore now that all the churches & schools havae their own parties. Oh well! We still had fun watching scary movies together. Here is a picture of Rocky all dressed up!

Now that Halloween is over we have a ton of things coming up: Josh's birthday, Thanksgiving, finals, both our dad's birthdays, Christmas, my birthday, & our 1 year wedding anniversary! Hopefully I'll be able to keep the blog updated through all of that!

Our New House

So it's been a long time since I've updated. We've been so busy the past couple months. We finally moved from Maryland back to Texas. We are so happy to be back. Josh has finally gotten settled back at work. After a year of being out of school, due to back surgery, I start school this week. I am excited but nervous at the same time. But mainly just ready to finish!
Here's a few pictures of our new house. Next time I'll post some pictures with all our furniture in it.

And here's the boys snuggling in our bed :-)

Rocky & the vacuum

As most of you know, Josh has been off work the past couple of weeks. Today was a rainy day so this is what we do to entertain ourselves, introduce Rocky to the vacuum! Here is a video of what happened:

Rocky definitely thinks he's smaller than he really is:

I've been having trouble uploading the video of Rocky chasing the laser pointer but as soon as I do I'll put it up :-)
Josh and I will be in Oklahoma the weekend of June 20th for a wedding. It will be a short visit so we probably won't get to see everybody that we want to. We were in town in May for Josh's sister's graduation. Here are some pics from our visit:
