3 months old!

I'm a few days late but Miss Zoey is 3 months old. It feels like I just posted that she's 2 months old! It feels like she is still changing everyday. She still doesn't like tummy time but she is pushing up & sometimes she rolls herself over. She loves to talk, laugh & smile. I swear she says "Hi!" all the time. :-) She still has on old man's hair line but it is starting to fill in more on top.
She just started teething about a week ago. I feel so bad for her. You just tell she's hurting. I hope the tooth is about to push through. If she is getting too fussy we give her a bath or take her outside to make her feel better. It's been in the 70's here & she loves to be outside.

2 months old

I can't believe my baby girl 2 months old today. It is going by fast! We have a doctor's appointment next week so I don't know how much she weighs but I think she's close to 10 pounds now. She pretty much has a routine now. She goes to bed around 10:30 then wakes up around 2:30 to eat then again at 6:30 to eat then wakes up for the day at 10:00. She is smiling all the time now. We have a very happy baby. Josh can really get her smiling, she loves her goofy daddy :-)
People are always asking who she looks like so I found baby pictures of us so you can decide. After looking at them we think she doesn't look more like either one. She is half me & half Josh right now.

6 Weeks Old

Zoey had her first shot appointment with the doctor today. I was not looking forward to at all. She did really well though, she cried for only a few minutes. However, since we've been home she just wants one of us to hold her and snuggle. Needless to say, I am making Josh come to her next appointment.
We did find out she now weighs 8 lbs 15 oz. She is starting to wear some size 3 months clothes now. Also, the past couple days she has really discovered her smile. When we talk to her she will just grin at us. She is a very happy baby :-) We are so in love with our little girl!

Buddies

We were a little worried how Rocky would react to Zoey once she got here but ever since we brought her home Rocky has been really sweet to Zoey. If she starts crying he will come up to her & sniff her & make sure she is ok. He has even brought her his bone a couple times. Here's some pictures of them together.Don't worry, I was sitting right next to them & after Josh snapped the picture I picked her up.

Rocky likes it when Zoey plays in the floor.

Zoey

I just realized this week I haven't updated since our little girl was born, mostly because we have been pretty busy. Zoey was born on November 19th at 8:40 PM. Labor went by really fast for me. I started having contractions that morning but they were 30 minutes apart so we decided to go see a movie to take my mind off of them. We went to see the new Harry Potter movie. About an hour and a half into the movie they were getting closer together so we decided to just head into the hospital since it is 20 minutes away from where we live. As soon as I stood up from the seat my water broke. We got to the hospital around 2:30 and she was here 6 hours later. She really wanted to meet us!Zoey weighed 6 lbs 1 oz and was 18.5 inches long
I try to keep her awake during the afternoons so she sleeps better at night so I like to take her picture :-) Here's some of those:

Weekly Check Up

Today we had our 2nd weekly doctor visit. The past week my back has been really hurting, almost as bad as before I had back surgery. We found out why today, Zoey finally dropped! I am still not dialated but she is progressing. We talked about the possibility of inducing since she is due around Thanksgiving. The doctor said she wants to wait until next week's appointment to see if the cervix will start to thin out. If it doesn't the induction wouldn't be successful & I definitely don't want a c-section. We are taking Rocky on longer walks at night now so hopefully we can get her to come sooner :-)

Weekly Doctor Visits

We are getting closer to Zoey's arrival so we now have weekly doctor visits. Yesterday was the first one. We got a good report for the most part. I am not dialated any and she has not dropped yet. But the doctor did estimate that Zoey weighs about 5 pounds now & if I go the full 40 weeks she won't be bigger than 7 pounds. Since I weighed 6 pounds when I was born the doctor is guessing Zoey will be between 6 to 6 1/2 pounds. I was very happy to hear this because Josh keeps teasing that we're going to have a 10 pound baby!
This weekend is Halloween. We are going to the Bell Air Show during the day with some good friends then pass out candy & watch a scary movie at home. We don't really dress up but we dress up our first kids (the animals!) Here's a picture of Rocky's costume. I made Jack a pirate outfit but he hates wearing it & runs away when I get it out so I don't have a picture of him in it.
